Zusammenfassung:The connection between the Kaellen virtual-photon formalism, the vector-meson-dominance hypothesis, and the one-particle-exchange model is exhibited. Specific formulas for the production of pion and kaon pairs in uniform magnetic fields are developed in accord with the rules associated with the one-particle-exchange model. Numerical calculations of production rates of pion pairs associated with an electron making a transition to the ground state are performed. Certain numerical correspondences between the results of the calculations and the predictions of QCD are exhibited.
