Zusammenfassung:Recent measurements of the ( p,t) reaction on targets in the mass range 106 < or = A < or = 128 have shown a change in the sign of the analyzing power at forward angles for transitions to the lowest 2/sup +/ states. The (t,p) reaction has been used in a similar search for corresponding effects on targets of /sup 96/Mo, /sup 106/Pd, and /sup 126/Te. In contrast to the ( p,t) results, the analyzing power for L=2 transitions in the (t,p) measurements does not show a sign change and the data are fitted with standard distorted-wave Born-approximation calculations.
