Congenital Absence of the Diaphysis and Distal End of the Femur

An uncommon case of congenital absence of the diaphisis and distal end of the femur is described. No other abnormalities were detected except for ipsilateral short leg and foot and deficient fibula. A discussion on the etiology of this embryopathy is presented.
