Labor Pain: A Comparison of Parturients in a Dutch and an American Teaching Hospital

Research suggests that pain response varies among different ethnic and cultural groups. Perceived severity of labor pain varies from population to population and subject to subject within the same population. The current study compares two populations with respect to expectations of pain in labor.
