Zusammenfassung:To determine if an association exists between premature ventricular contrctions and the time of day in which they occur, a systematic comparison was made between the occurrence of the contractions and the time in ten male postmyocardial infarction patients over a four-day period in a coronary care unit Findings indicated that fewer premature ventricualar contractions occurred between 12:00 MDNT. amd 6:00 A.M.; on the fourth day there were fewer preamture ventricular contractions than on any other day; administration of antiarrhythmic drugs may be indicated during peak time of premature ventricular contraction occurrence.
