Combined serotonin syndrome and hyponatraemia caused by a citalopram-buspirone interaction

We report a case of combined serotonin syndrome and hyponatraemia caused by concomitant use of high doses of the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor citalopram and the 5-HT1A receptor agonist buspirone.
