Zusammenfassung:In childhood dermatomyositis, calcinosis occurs in skin, subcutaneous tissue, and muscle. These areas of calcinosis have been well evaluated with labeled phosphate compounds. Cutaneous ulceration and infection are frequent complications. The radionuclide angiogram is a very well known and sensitive method to demonstrate vascularity of a lesion. The common abdominal lesions demonstrating increased vascularity in pediatrics include abscess, cellulitis, hemangioma, arteriovenous malformation, and endocrine tumors. An abnormal vascular pattern can also be demonstrated in dermatomyositis. A case of a nine-year-old boy is presented.
