Zusammenfassung:A 22-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital because she showed psychomotor excitement and signs of schizophrenia following psychological stress. Nine days after neuroleptic medication, she could not eat and exhibited high fever, diaphoresis, excessive salivation, and severe extrapyramidal signs with cogwheel rigidity and resting tremor of the upper extremities. The next day, bucco-linguomasticatory dyskinesia, which is quite similar to tardive dyskinesia, appeared. The dyskinesia lasted intermittently for 6 days. The present case shows that buccolingual dyskinesia can occur even after early neuroleptic exposure in certain patients.
