Zusammenfassung: | Social work educators frequently encourage practitioners to evaluate the effectiveness of their clinical work. This article reports a follow-up study of social workers who graduated from one MSW program requiring courses that integrate practice methods, clinical research, and a practicum. Survey data report practitioners' attitudes about integrating research and practice, their assessment of training adequacy, the range of the evaluation procedures they implemented, their specific research designs, and factors associated with their use of practice evaluation activities in applied settings. Routine practice evaluation by social workers can enhance treatment outcomes and agency decision making, planning, and accountability. |
