Variation in CaSO4:Dy TL Response as a Function of Particle Size and Photon Energy

Zusammenfassung: | Calculations of the ratio of the absorbed dose in a grain of CaSO4:Dy to the dose in air (fc/z) were made using the well known Burlin's cavity theory and the new one proposed by Kearsley. Values of fc/z as a function of phosphor powder particle size were determined experimentally for X rays of 10 and 30 keV and for 60Co gamma rays. Comparisons between experimental and the two theories were made. Our experimental results are in reasonable agreement with the theories of Burlin and Kearsley. |
