Zusammenfassung:A mixed BeO:TiO2 ceramic showing a high electrical conductivity has been the subject of preliminary investigation with respect to its application in TSEE and TL dosimetry. The results clearly indicate that the two oxides involved do construct independent substructures in the mixed ceramic. The TiO2 substructure provides electrical conductivity, and is passive from the TL and TSEE point of view, whereas the BeO substructure is fully responsible for the dosimetric signals. Although the title question cannot be definitely answered yet the results encourage further studies.
