Natural Radiation Atlas of Europe

The National Radiological Protection Board has produced an atlas of natural radiation in Europe for the Commission of the European Communities. The major components of natural radiation are mapped - cosmic rays, terrestrial gamma rays indoors and outdoors, and indoor radon. The maps show the overall levels for each country. More detailed maps, based on administrative boundaries, have also been produced for smaller areas where sufficient data are available. The atlas is intended for a wide audience and has a short explanatory text.
