Zusammenfassung:The clinical parameters of the UCLA Neutron Therapy Facility such as dose build-up, depth dose, beam profiles, field size dependence, wedge field profiles, and upper limits to the photon contamination in the beam are presented. The use of the AECL Theraplan photon treatment planning software for neutron therapy treatment planning and the compromises which had to be made for this use are discussed. Data on the sensitivity of the isodose distributions to flattening filter-neutron beam alignment are presented and the implications this has on system design are discussed.
