Alpha glucosidase activity of excised roots of Lycopersicon esculentum

Homogenates of excised roots of Lycopersicon esculentum possess both invertase and α glucosidase activity. These were separated by Sephadex G-100 filtration and their ability to hydrolyse a number of different sugars was determined.
