Difference is subcellular localization of isocitrate lyase in lettuce seeds of different ages
The subcellular location of isocitrate lyase in germinating lettuce is shown to depend on seed age. In older seeds a higher percentage of activity appears in the particulate fraction, while in fresher seeds the bulk of the enzyme activity is present in a soluble cell fraction.
