Zusammenfassung:Four cytokinins have been separated from extracts of root nodules of Phaseolus mungo by thin-layer chromatography. Their activity was determined on the basis of their ability to induce betacyanin synthesis in cotyledons of Amaranthus caudatus. Zeatin and its riboside showed greater activity than N6 (Δ2-(isopentenyl)) amino purine and its riboside in the bioassay.
