Zusammenfassung:Abstract BACKGROUND AND AIMS Arterial hypertension is characterized by kidney damage as a target organ. In turn, as a result of immunological and pathophysiological processes, in patients with COPD, a decrease in renal function was revealed 1.6 times more often than in the general population. The aim of this study was to identify predictors of a decrease in GFR below 60 mL/min in the case of comorbidity of arterial hypertension and COPD. METHOD A single-stage study included 51 patients with comorbid hypertension and COPD [mean age 59.3 (3.1) years]. The exclusion criteria were age over 80 years, primary kidney disease, diabetes mellitus, cancer, heart failure, stage III hypertension. All patients underwent determination of cystatin C in the blood, studied the composition of the body using bioimpedance and spirographic examination. To determine the predictors of kidney damage, we used regression analysis with ROC-curve estimation using the MedCalc software. RESULTS Total adipose tissue (P  1.21 mg/L and reduction of FEV1
