A 408 MHz Survey of the Galactic Anticentre Region

The 250-foot aperture Mark I radio telescope at Jodrell Bank has been used to make a 408 MHz continuum survey of the Galactic anticentre region. The telescope resolution was 45 arc minutes. The region surveyed was $04 \,\text{h}. \lt \,\text{R.A.} \lt 12 \,\text{h.}, -20^{\circ} \lt \,\text{Dec}. \lt + 60^{\circ}$ and $00 \,\text{h}. \lt \,\text{R.A.} \lt 04 \,\text{h.}, +20^{\circ} \lt \,\text{Dec}. \lt + 60^{\circ}.$ The contours are presented at intervals of 2 °K in beam temperature. The maps are given both in equatorial coordinates and, for the strip $-10^{\circ} \lt b^{11} \lt + 10^{\circ},$ in new Galactic coordinates.
