The Hydrogen-deficient Star HD 96446

The spectrum of an early B-type star with remarkably sharp absorption lines is described. From coudé spectrograms of dispersion 6.7 Å/mm, more than 300 lines of 20 ions in the interval 3550–4850 Å are positively identified, and wavelengths are listed for 85 more of unknown origin. The assignment of...

Zusammenfassung:The spectrum of an early B-type star with remarkably sharp absorption lines is described. From coudé spectrograms of dispersion 6.7 Å/mm, more than 300 lines of 20 ions in the interval 3550–4850 Å are positively identified, and wavelengths are listed for 85 more of unknown origin. The assignment of 79 lines to Kr II is discussed.
