Zusammenfassung:Approximately one-half million rooted cuttings of black spruce (Picea mariana [Mill.] B.S.P.) were produced from 85 thousand juvenile seedlings in a nine-month period in 1979. Field survival of cuttings out-planted in midsummer on a boreal forest cutover was greater than 90 percent by late fall of the same year. Production of rooted cuttings of both black and white spruce (Picea glauca [Moench] Voss) from full-sib seed orchard progeny is being undertaken.
