Twospotted Spider Mite Control, 1991

This trial was initiated on 18 Jun on a stand of'Paymaster 145' in Tillman County, near Tipton to evaluate several insecticides against TSM infestation. Insecticides were applied using a ground rig equipped with a 6 row boom calibrated to deliver 5 gal finished spray/acre in a randomized complete block design with 3 replicates. Plots were 4 rows (40 inch spacing) × 200 ft. TSM densities were determined 4 DAT and 7 DAT, recording the total no. of TSM present on 10 leaves picked at random from the top, middle, and bottom of plants from the middle 2 rows.
