Zusammenfassung: | Each of 3 rows 150 feet long and 12 feet apart was divided into 4 experimental units. Treatments were arranged in a randomized complete block design with 4 replicates. Insecticides were applied on 27 Jun using a handgun at 100 psi and 150 gal per acre. Pretreatment counts were made on 26 Jun. Posttreatment counts were made on 30 Jun and 10 Jul. Thrips populations were evaluated by arbitrarily selecting the most ripe berry from 3 fruit clusters from each of 10 different plants per replicate. Clusters were rated as having thrips or not. Aphid populations were evaluated by counting the number of aphid-infested canes in 20 arbitrarily selected canes per replicate. |
