Efficacy of Insecticides on Black Cutworm in Bentgrass, Fall, California, 1984

The putting green test site was divided into three 350-sq-ft sections. Pretreatment counts were taken by randomly choosing 15 square-foot plots in each section. Each plot was then flooded with water to force the cutworm larvae to the surface where they were counted. One material was applied to each section on the day following the pretreatment counts, 9 Oct. Posttreatment counts were assessed 7 days after treatment in the same manner as the pretreatmem counts.
