Zusammenfassung: | The mechanical behavior of madar fiber reinforced polyester composites were studied in this work. The most significant factors have influenced in the mechanical behavior of the composites such as fiber length of the reinforcement material and the weight percentage of the fiber. The better mechanical properties of the madar fiber reinforced polyester composites have been identified by the prediction of the fiber length and weight percentage of the madar fiber becomes a very important aspect in the fabrication of the composites. Experiments were conducted as per the testing standards to identify the mechanical behavior of the madar fiber reinforced polyester composites for the various lengths of the madar fiber and its weight percentage. The tensile properties, chemical composition and thermogravimetric analysis of the madar fiber were analyzed. The mechanical properties of the madar fiber polyester composites were also investigated and also studied the moisture absorption rate of the madar fiber reinforced composites to understand the water absorption capability of the madar fiber reinforced composite. The morphological structure of the fractured test specimens were analyzed using SEM images. This study accentuates the significance of natural bast fiber that can be used as an effective reinforcement in the preparation of the polymer matrix composite. |
