Zusammenfassung: | In this paper we describe two experimental activities regarding heat conduction in metals. The activities were designed according to the Predict-Observe-Explain strategy and are appropriate for primary and secondary school students. The aim is for the students to find out that heat is conducted at the same rate in all directions, regardless of the height difference from the heating point. The alternative idea attempted to be confronted through the aforementioned activities is that heat is considered a substance with fluid’s properties. |
