 At the critical temperature, T_c, the mean square kink length of the triangular lattice should be 2a^2 and not 1a^2. The slope in Figure 5, i.e. □((<n^2>)⁄a)=2a, where a=0.5 nm is the lattice constant of the (√3 x√3)R〖30〗^o lattice of the decanethiol self-assembled monolayer on the Au(111) substrate, remains unaltered (slope is ~ 1 nm) and therefore our conclusions remain valid.&#13.
