Zusammenfassung: | In the 2010 and 2012 Çatalhöyük field seasons geophysical survey was conducted with two objectives. The first was to map a significant portion of the East Mound at high resolution using magnetometry and ground penetrating radar in order to provide data for the mapping of subsurface structures. The second objective was to establish a correlation of the data with the materials present across the site. The geophysical survey at Çatalhöyük has facilitated the mapping of many of the buried structures and features at the site. A large number of anomalies in the magnetometry, and particularly in the GPR survey, results show Neolithic structural remains. |
