Gravitational correlations and the monopole problem

The enhancement of the annihilation rate caused by gravitational clustering of relic magnetic monopoles left from the big bang is not sufficient in any reasonable scenario to prevent them from dominating the mass density of the universe today by too many orders of magnitude.
