Preliminary results from the Orbiting Solar Observatory 8 - Observations of optically thin lines

Measurements of the C IV and Si IV solar resonance lines have been analyzed to yield mean profiles, a comparison of cell and network profiles, and the behavior of the lines at the extreme solar limb. (AIP)
