Zusammenfassung: | An approximate method of analysis of nonlinear operation of Fabry-Perot lasers including longitudinal electric field dependence and the spatial hole burning effect is presented. The method is based on a semiclassical approach and provides an approximate expression relating the normalized small signal gain to the normalized output power and laser parameters. The influence of the spatial hole burning effect on the laser characteristics is investigated. It is shown that this effect determines the value of the optimal coupling strength, as well as causing changes in the laser characteristics. |
