Zusammenfassung:A brief overview of literature concerning knowledge about writing problems is presented. How to solve some of these, at least in part by using word processing programs, is the focus of the paper. Case studies of three children and their writing problems are included along with samples of handwritten work. Text composed by the same children using word processing programs demonstrates the elimination of many of their problems. A list of word processing programs available for use with children with special needs is included.
