Mode of Inhibition of HIV Reverse Transcriptase- Catalyzed DNA Synthesis by 3′-Amino-3′-Deoxythymidine 5′ -Tfiphosphate

The molecular mode of action of 3′-amino-3′-deoxythymidine 5′- triphosphate in the polymerization reaction catalyzed by human immunodeficiency vim reverse transcriptase was elucidated. This compound was shown to be a termination substrate on both DNA and RNA templates.
