Zusammenfassung:	The paper presents a simplified model of the polyphase converter fed synchronous machine. The combination machine-inverter can be considered as a conventional Dc machine with shifted brushes. Damper losses and tongue ripple are analyzed as a function of the phase number of the synchronous machine. A procedure for the measurement of the parameters of this model is proposed and saturation effects are introduced by the Rothert method.
