Zusammenfassung:This paper describes the Educational Data Base System (EDBS). EDBS is a data base management system that is implemented in APL and that uses APL as a host language. It is an educational tool designed to be used for training in data base management systems. The EDBS system supports all three approaches to data base management - hierarchical, network, and relational. As well, several programming- exercises have been developed to promote EDBS'S training objective.
