Zusammenfassung:Much of our teaching and research in economic geography ends up affirming (or failing to question) the existence of a global, national or local capitalist economy. Using queer theory to open up a space of difference, this paper suggests ways of introducing students to a differentiated economic landscape, offering possibilities outside and beyond the capitalist 'norm'.
