Just-in-time Manufacturing

A tutorial for the just-in-time (JIT) concept it presented. Emphasis is on production systems. Similarities between the JIT manufacturing environment and computer integrated manufacturing (CIM) are discussed. Reasons for incorporating concepts of JIT into CIM are suggested.
