Zusammenfassung: | Restrictive residential zoning is being attacked on a wide front and yet we lack an adequate definition or set of criteria to determine what a reasonable residential zoning ordinance should look like. In this study we have attempted to develop such a standard. Zoning requirements are derived from a determination of the appropriate housing mix for a community, based upon the number and distribution of jobs in the area. This standard would be particularly useful in the urban fringe area where future residential and industrial growth will be concentrated. |
