Zusammenfassung: | Distribution equilibrium of the aqueous phenol-Amberlite LA-2, a longchain secondary alkylamine solution system was studied with diluents such as n-hexane, cyclohexane, benzene, and carbon tetrachloride at 30°C. The physical partition coefficient of phenol between two phases and the equilibrium constant for dimerization of phenol in the organic phase were obtained for each diluent under the amine-free condition. The experimental results obtained with amine present were explained by a model in which an amine molecule is added by a few molecules of phenol in the organic phase. The equilibrium constants for these reactions were evaluated. |
