BUBBLE COALESCENCE IN STAGNANT LIQUIDS

The coalescence behavior of bubbles in aqueous solutions is investigated, A sharp transition on coalescence frequency is observed with increasing solute concentration. The mechanism of coalescence appears to be very different for volatile and non-volatile solutes.
