Winding of Conical Packages at Constant Delivery Rate. Part I: Theoretical Analysis of Winding a Yarn on to a Conical Package

An uncontrolled high winding tension in an open-end spinning system can cause yarn breakage and a non-uniform tension in the yarn at cone winding. A mathematical model of the system is proposed. It is shown how the model can he used to predict the yarn tension during winding.
