A Convenient Synthesis of Alkyl-1-cyclohexenyl Sulfides

A convenient procedure for synthesis of alkyl-1-cyclohexenyl sulfides is presented. The procedure uses 1-cyclohexenyl thioacetate for in situ generation of 1-cyclohexenyl thiolate which is subsequently alkylated.
