Distribution pattern of radiocalcium (Ca45) and radiosulphur (S35) in citrus seedlings under normal and deficient conditions of different micronutrient elements

Fourty days old seedlings of Rough lemon (Citrus jambhiri L.) were subjected to copper, zinc, iron, manganese and boron deficiencies in solution cultures. The autoradiographic technique was adopted for investigating the pattern of absorption and distribution of Ca 45 and S3 5 in the citrus seedlings under imbalance nutritional conditions. The radioactive material was fed when the seedlings exhibited characterstic symptoms of deficiencies, and different pattern of uptake and accumulation was noticed.
