Zusammenfassung:A controversy exists concerning the attitudes of faculty in Southern Baptist colleges and universities. The issue is whether faculty members integrate both Christianity and academic disciplines as they relate to students in these institutions, which are within the Christian College Coalition. Faculty and student interaction is explored in three settings: (1) in the classroom, (2) in and beyond the classroom, and (3) within the institution. The study examines the attitudes of faculty in five institutions by rank, across ranks, and demographically. The student-teacher relationship and the faith of educators are central to the philosophy of Southern Baptist higher education. This study examines the attitudes of Christian educators with regard to these philosophical concerns.
