Zusammenfassung:The present study attempted to determine whether the Belief in a Just World Scale (BJWS; Rubin & Peplau, 1975) is unidimensional or multidimensional. The results of a factor analysis, based on a sample of U.S. students, indicated that the BJWS appears to be multidimensional rather than unidimensional, and that it is affected by both gender and culture. Also, there was a gender difference in the total scale scores, with men scoring significantly higher than women.
