Zusammenfassung: | In many cases the properties of imperfect crystals with structural phase transitions are strongly related to the behaviour of domain wall in random medium. During several last years a remarkable scientific progress has been made in the theory of subject. We review these results with the emphasis on applications to the theory of poly domain crystals and incommensurate (IC) phases. The questions under discussion are: the coercive field dependence on defect concentration and time, the temperature dependence of intersoliton distance, long-range order in IC-phase, relaxation of IC-phase to equilibrium. We also discuss the properties not connected with behaviour of domain walls: light scattering from charged defects and dislocations, defect induced anomalies in the vicinity of the Lifshitz point. |
