The Art Teacher versus the Teaching of Art

From time to time, there may occur to the art teacher the notion that he participates in a game in which no one can win. The rules of the game are implicit in the term "creative art." I would assume without risk that there are few professional art teachers who do not, in one way or another, believe that their obligation is to foster creativity. The term demands some brief analysis for therein lies the puzzling paradox.
