Zusammenfassung:Contemporaries of the painter Vincenzo Camuccini considered him one of the few living artists worthy of comparison with the great figures of Italy's artistic past. Virtually forgotten by the end of the nineteenth century, he along with other Italian artists of his generation has recently begun to generate new interest among scholars.
