Zusammenfassung: | This paper reports the results of a national event held during November 1998 to educate health professionals representing multiple disciplines about evidence-based practice (EBP), its implementation and the use of informatics to support EBP. A combination of educational delivery methods and multimedia was used. Through local group work, participants identified obstacles to EBP implementation and developed strategies to overcome these in their own local environments. Major and common findings were a lack of management support and infrastructures needed for the successful adoption of evidence-based practices by all. |
