Zusammenfassung: | Understanding the flow and flame dynamics is important due to its relevance in wildfires, which become severe in recent years. The flow and flame dynamics of wildfire have been extensively studied on flat and inclined surface but are rarely studied under rough surface, such as the condition of a ridge or a hill, which is relevant for many of the wildfire scenarios in mountain areas. To investigate the interaction of wildfire with the wake flow over a ridge, this is the first study that uses a large-eddy simulation to model the flow and flame dynamics of a line fire located at the lee side of a ridge. The results show that the flame dynamics can be significantly influenced by the wake flow, and their interaction features cyclic four stages. |
