Zusammenfassung:Investigation of the classical three-dimensional motion of a helium atom on a (001) xenon surface uncovered new invariant manifolds that are in close accord with recent theoretical developments in nonlinear dynamics. The relationship between these manifolds, phase space flux, and recrossing in transition-state theory is explored. General theory and computational methods are also discussed.
